Radio Commercial Production

TDF Media provides commercial production services to the radio industry and clients direct.

Our aim is simple. To produce quality audio, that communicates your message, whilst delivering a budget priced product. There are several stages to radio commercial production.

The Brief

We provide a simple form for you to complete telling us about the service or product you wish to advertise.

Script Writing

Our writers then work with your brief to create a script. This stage will probably involve working back and forth with you to get it just right.

Often there is also a consideration about the legalities of what is being said too. Certain categories of products being advertised must receive clearance from the RACC (Radio Advertising Clearance Centre)*. We can advise on this. Also there are more general rules about claims and other content in your script.

Once this process is complete, and you are happy with the script, we will ask you to “sign-off” the script, authorising the next stage.

Voice Over Recording

We then select the best voice available to communicate your message, from a range of Equity voices, and work with them to record your script.

Production

The final stage is for the production of your commercial, using the voice over recording, along with (non-mcps) music and effects. The recording is produced with processing and equalisation to give it a full broadcast quality standard.
